We asked you to write letters to the editor and opinion pieces to help educate the public about the Roe Act through the local media—and you responded!
We wanted to take a minute to share just a few of those columns and editorials with you today, and also encourage you to sign our petition against the Roe Act if you have not yet done so.
Our newest board member, Debby Dugan, who many of you heard from Wednesday, welcoming everyone to Lobby Day, recently appeared on Worcester cable TV to discuss the Roe Act in depth and share about the great work being done to heal women who have had abortions. We urge you to watch the interview and learn more about the details of the legislation, and consider telling your own story to your legislators about how the Roe Act impacts you.
Another speaker from our Lobby Day, Selectwoman Caroline Colarusso, is also speaking out about the Roe Act, in an op-ed for the Stoneham Patch. Her Republican state committee colleague, Jay Fleitman, published a column in the Hampshire Gazette, presenting a “pro-choice” perspective that nevertheless equates the current status of the unborn with the Supreme Court’s Dred Scott decision.
When people ask me about the conservative movement in Massachusetts, I’m so proud to point to examples of your activism, from Lobby Day on Wednesday with 500 people strong, to the letters to the editor and op-eds mentioned here, to those of you stepping forward to organize your communities.
Want to write your own letter to the editor? Let us know if you want help! And share your work, as we’ll be posting them to our Facebook page. This is your movement.
Finally, we will be cosponsoring and cohosting a Rally Against the Roe Act Infanticide bill on Saturday, March 30th on the steps of the State House. We ask you to join us there at 2:00 pm to stand against this horrific legislation. We look forward to seeing you there.
Mark your calendar and join us on at our Rally Against Roe, and join with citizens across the state in support of life.
