You did it!!
We want to extend our thanks to the hundreds of Coalition activists who contributed in some way to Dean Tran’s victory. Whether you distributed voter guides, knocked doors, stuffed envelopes or made a donation—it all made a difference and Dean won last night by just a few hundred votes out of over 15,000 cast. THANK YOU!
Conservative grassroots canvassers knocked over ten thousand doors for Dean over the course of the campaign, including several thousand in the final four days. Coalition volunteers distributed thousands of voter guides on Sunday, from both Catholic Citizenship and the Coalition.
The liberal left brought in the likes of Elizabeth Warren and Maura Healey, to fire up their volunteers. They also tried to silence Dean’s message by calling him a bigot and a hater for having conservative beliefs—but their attacks backfired because the voters of the district share those conservative values.
The average voter of the Worcester and Middlesex district is a lot like the average voter in general: they don’t think being concerned about sex offenders exploiting the bathroom and locker room law makes one a bigot, and they don’t think wanting to defund Planned Parenthood means you hate women.
Quite the contrary—by equating Dean’s beliefs with bigotry, the Democrats were in fact criticizing the voters who share those beliefs, and it backfired.
Thank you again for all you’re doing to stop the left in Massachusetts. Last night was a big win, and we’re excited about conservative candidates following Dean’s path by stepping forward in 2018.
