First off, we want to say thank you to the volunteers who wrote their legislators and attended the hearing to support Rep. Lyons and Rep. Garry’s bipartisan bills opposing the Bathroom and Locker Room law. Roughly 500 of you answered the call on short notice—a very strong response. As the fall session continues, will keep providing you ways influence Beacon Hill, as well as ways to assist with the Bathroom Bill repeal.
We also want to thank those of you who volunteered and campaigned for Jacob Ventura. Conservative grassroots canvassers knocked over ten thousand doors for Jacob over the course of the campaign, including several thousand in the final four days. He fell short by just a few hundred votes, and we ask that you to send him a Facebook message, to encourage him to run again for state senate in 2018.
The liberal left brought in the likes of Elizabeth Warren, Maura Healey, and Joe Kennedy to fire up their volunteers. They rallied the radical progressive organization of Bernie Sanders to bring in doorknockers from all over the state. It was tough to compete with the onslaught, which the Sun Chronicle reported included over 300 Democratic Party activists campaigning for Feeney on Election Day.
Conservatives can win because we have the right ideas to fix Massachusetts; we’ve won a number of special elections recently, and can win more in the right districts. But we need to organize and focus our efforts on these special elections. You can read the recent New Boston Post piece about legislative elections and this topic in general here.
Want to get more involved? We have just one month left to gather signatures for our effort to stop our tax dollars from going to abortions. Click here to sign up to volunteer.
There’s also a special election up in the Leominster/Fitchburg area right around the corner. We need your help if you’re within driving distance.
The weather is still great! There’s still time to collect signatures and knock on doors before it gets too cold.
