Monday is not only Labor Day, it will be the 65th Marlborough Labor Day Parade. Over those years the parade has grown to be an impressive family friendly event with bands, floats, and entertainers. And politicians shaking hands and kissing babies. You can be a part of the festivities. All you have to do is show up.
The parade will start at noon on Monday. It’s about 2 mile walk starting at Prospect Street and Lincoln Street. We meander at a comfortable pace, west on Lincoln Street, turn south onto Broad Street, turn east onto West Main Street and continues down Main Street Turning south on to Maple Street where it ends at the intersection of Route 85.
I’m not here on Red Mass Group to ask you to attend to watch this spectacle, I am here asking you to put on your Republican red shirts and your most comfortable shoes and march with our candidates. Ann Wolford, Ted Busiek and Marlborough’s own Paul Ferro will be marching in this parade. All of them need all of their supporters to show up. They are doing the hard work of running for office, all they’re asking is for us to walk with them a little bit of the way. Contact their campaign coordinators and make sure that you do what needs to be done to get more loyal Republicans elected to office and to turn this Commonwealth righteous Red!
