Weld on CNBC

I had the misfortune of listening to Bill Weld on CNBC Friday.  Weld started with his obligatory bashing of Republican Donald Trump, stating his feeling is that with Trump, “there is no there there”.  As you can tell, Weld is a deep thinker.  He further goes on to talk about Hillary Clinton and the email scandal.  Remember, Weld recently stated that Clinton is “eminently qualified” to be POTUS.  He states that because there was no “criminal intent” Clinton should not  be prosecuted.  Now Hillary of course gets a pass with Weld, because she incorporates two of Weld’s most prized characteristics.  She is a Democrat, and she is Establishment.  So with such a pedigree, why should Weld care that the statute in question makes no mention of “criminal intent”?  One might think that a former US Attorney would be aware of that little detail, but Weld never lets details get in the way when he is working to destroy Republicans, the Republican Party, and Republican values.

Opinion: May Trump Be A Potential Burr Under The Saddle Of Those Who Are In Favor Of A North American Union? As We Know Trump Is Not In Favor Of Open Boarders!

    Building a North American Community:

Chairs: John P. Manley, Pedro Aspe, and ‘William F. Weld’:

Independent Task Force on the Future of North America has developed a roadmap to promote North American security and advance the well-being of citizens of all three countries.
When the leaders of Canada, Mexico, and the United States met in Texas recently they underscored the deep ties and shared principles of the three countries. The Council-sponsored Task Force applauds the announced “Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America,” but proposes a more ambitious vision of a new community by 2010 and specific recommendations on how to achieve it.

Is Ted Cruz an advocate of a North American Union?

Heidi Cruz was a member of the CFR-sponsored Independent Task Force on the Future of North America, which was launched in October 2004. The Task Force advocates a greater economic and social integration between Canada, Mexico, and the United States as a North American region.

  • William Weld is no longer a Republican. As a competitor he can now feel free to “destroy Republicans, the Republican Party and Republican values.” He can’t hold a candle in that regard to the blowhard GOP nominee who is doing a great job destroying the Grand Old Party. People who support him in light of recent comments on the Khan family need to look inward.

Bashing immigrants (illegal and legal as Ronald Reagan knew) is no way to extend the party’s reach. Donald Trump’s stupidity will take down the entire GOP ticket. I’m sure that’s just fine with the MARA types.

    • Brian Kennedy

Karl, It is the Establishment that put together the GOP’s loyalty pledge, and it’s the Establishment who can’t seem to come to terms with the fact that a pledge they put in place to have us all trot sheepishly behind another weak Bush or Romney figure must now benefit a candidate like Trump.

Khan is a Clinton crony who directly benefits from expanded refugee policies. He is little more than the next human shield in the long line of human shields you aren’t allowed to criticize. Nobody on the ground level knows who Khan is or believes he is untouchable he is because of *his son’s* service.

The Establishment has been bringing down the ticket in Massachusetts since… well, since Bill Weld was governor and demanded the Republican Party stand down on opposing Democrats. We’ve been following the Weld model ever since and the MassGOP is a running joke that has all the advice in the world for “extending the party’s reach” from people who thus far have managed to push its reach to near single digits and spent more money installing people who can’t raise a dime for the party on its State Committee than they have on our actual legislative candidates this cycle.

But that’s just fine with the establishment types. They are comfortable in the minority with no power or responsibility to govern as long as they can get a few patronage promotions from a governor every decade or so. They are comfortable in being able to carpool from Beacon Hill to State Committee meetings, have a few drinks, and pretend to oppose the Democrats for an hour or two every four months.

Muslim Dad Should Blame Hillary Clinton for Son’s Death

Perhaps a better testimony from Khizr Khan would have been for him to talk about how Hillary Clinton was in the U.S. Senate when she voted to invade Iraq. Years later, after that position became politically unpopular, she changed her mind and joined new political forces to vacate all the land across Iraq that so many great American patriots like Capt. Humayun Khan had died for.
It was her vote that sent Capt. Khan to his death. And then it was her decisions later to render that sacrifice worthless.

Is Not Saudi Arabia Funding 25% Of The Clinton Campaign?
    ‘Think About it’!

Khizr Khan’s Deep Legal, Financial Connections To Saudi Arabia, Hillary’s Clinton Foundation Tie Terror, Immigration, Email Scandals Together
Khizr Khan, the Muslim Gold Star father that the mainstream media and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton have been using to criticize Donald J. Trump, has ‘deep ties’ to the government of ‘Saudi Arabia’—and to international Islamist investors through his own law firm. In addition to those ties to the wealthy Islamist nation, Khan also has ties to controversial immigration programs that wealthy foreigners can use to essentially buy their way into the United States—and has deep ties to the “Clinton Cash” narrative through the Clinton Foundation.

    Think About It!

Homeland Security granted a new temporary amnesty Monday to more than 8,000 Syrians living in the U.S. right now, saying they can remain for up to 18 months longer no matter what their legal status.
Secretary Jeh Johnson issued “temporary protected status” to Syrians, saying that if they are in the U.S. as of Monday and continue to reside here permanently, they can apply for work permits and other documents to remain and live in the U.S. without fear of being ousted.
