What is Charlie Baker waiting for? STOP COMMON CORE NOW!

At the Conservative Political Action Conference  meeting over the weekend Governor Kasich got slammed for his support of Common Core by Michelle Malkin. She points out that the Republican Governors Association supports common core.

This begs the questions: Charlie Baker, who do you stand with, the RGA or the children of Massachusetts? You have the ability to rid Massachusetts of Common Core now. What are you waiting for? When are you going to stand for something?

Speaking about Baker’s pick for DOE head:

“It’s an outrageous conflict of interest and a breach of trust,” said School Committee member Dave McGeney during Tuesday night’s meeting. “It is very clear to me that there is not any two-year test drive. At a minimum, the citizens of Massachusetts deserve a fair, unbiased opinion.”

Hell, so far as we know that heroic and highly principled avatar for the Rule of Law, and defender of Massachusetts taxpayers, Charles D. Baker, Jr., has not even countermanded Devoid Patrick’s order to the Massachusetts State Police not to report arrested illegal immigrants to Federal ICE officials. Last we heard on this matter, from Charles D.’s press flack, months ago, that matter was “under consideration.”

A self-serving charlatan now occupies the State House Corner Office. Heaven forbid that he take a stand on any issue that may jeopardize Federal education funding or upset the so-called public ‘education’ bureaucracy.

  • It’s the Conservative Political Action CONFERENCE* Sponsored by the American Conservative Union. The Conservative Political Action Committee does not exist.

Also it should be noted that the RGA does not have policy. It releases policy reports and white papers often but does endorse or stand by specific policies just like every other similar organization (NRSC, NRCC, RSLC, etc).

Ahhh. I see the Baker apologists have arrived.
Yes, Conference, not Committee. I’ve corrected that.

But my mistake does not change any of the facts:
Baker hires PARC testing guy to head up DSEE.
Baker goes quiet on Common Core.
Hmmmmm…. Interesting. But Baker is a republican, so nothing to see here. Move along.
