Sholley Defeats Nelson for Republican State Committee

The Secretary of State Elections Division has certified that Earl Sholley has defeated Carl Nelson for Republican State Committeeman in the Norfolk, Bristol and Middlesex District.  Earl Sholley, who by his own admission did not spend a dime in the race defeated Carl by 69 net votes, 8559 to 8490.  Carl Nelson was backed by Charlie Baker, and although no spending totals are available, it is estimated that spending on the Nelson campaign may well have been in excess of $25,000.
