The Real Primary Losers are Robichaud, O’Connell and Diehl

What a great night in MA GOP politics right? For almost three years a small minority within the MA GOP has held the establishment hostage or at least that’s what they think. These “terrorists” have run candidate who have no chance of winning in a general elections and have a record of failure to prove it. Last night, was a validation for the establishment. Now let’s take a closer look.

Representatives Shaunna O’Connell and Geoff Diehl AKA “The Real Diehl,” made six endorsements in yesterday’s primary. They included Lou Valanzola, Bob Whynott, Karen Anderson, Shawn Craig, Jeff Bailey and Colleen Maloney. All of these candidates went up in flames like the Hindenburg and with them went the dream of Minority Leader Shaunna O’Connell.

On top of this, Holly Robichaud continued her long trend of losing here in Massachusetts. It is time candidate woke up and realize she is not worth a dime. Since January 1 of this year, candidates have paid Tuesday and Associates $70,875.96 (http://www.efs.cpf.state.ma.us/SearchItemResults.aspx). Included in that list are Shaunna O’Connell, Shawn Craig, Lou Valanzola, Alex Vispoli, Jeff Bailey and Tim Hempton. All her clients with contested races lost. Shawn Craig alone paid Tuesday Associates $4,882.75 over that timeframe for consulting and literature only to be demolished by David Muradian in his primary election. These agonizing defeats bring Holly’s loss rate to 83% of all the candidates she’s worked for since 2010. Congrats Holly you’ve earned it! If Republicans in Massachusetts ever want to be taken seriously they need to stop acting like fools and using the same old losing tactics and consultants.

To recap, Tuesday September 9, 2014 will go down in the record books as a homerun for the MA GOP establishment. Shaunna O’Connell and Geoff Diehl put all their eggs in one basket only to lose everything and Holly Robichaud continued her record of failure in Massachusetts. Holly, do us all a favor and pick up some Democrats as candidates so Republicans can win a few seats and while you’re at it Shaunna and Geoff maybe you could endorse a few Democrats as well. And as if the House side results were not good enough, on the Senate side Mike Valanzola beat his Tea Party rival 60-40 for the Senate seat being vacated by Steve Brewer. Shaunna, Geoff and Holly better luck next time and just remember there is always next year.
