Attorney General Martha Coakley reluctantly has acknowledged that she has taken donations from a lobbying firm she investigated.
A politically wired Beacon Hill lobbying firm let off with a light penalty by Democratic gubernatorial hopeful Martha Coakley for a possible violation of state law hosted a fundraiser for Coakley’s U.S. Senate campaign in 2009, the Herald has learned.
This latest revelation came days after she returned a maximum donation from the attorney who represented the firm in negotiations with the Attorney General’s Office, after the press found out, of course.
Elections matter. We can have more of the same Beacon Hill special treatment for the Democratic special interests. All we have to do is sit on our hands for the next two months and let the Democrats win.
