Teachers Unions and Tea Party Will Unite to Protest Common Core In Worcester Tomorrow

There is a saying in the Middle East, “the enemy of my enemy is my friend.”  In Worcester, Massachusetts tomorrow that saying will be seen in practice.

United States Education Secretary Arnie Duncan, who once said that opponents of the Common Core standards, were “white suburban moms” upset that their kids may not be that smart, will be in Worcester tomorrow.  Teachers Unions and Tea Party members are planning on meeting him and showing their displeasure at the Common Core standards.

Here is Jim Stergios, of the Pioneer Institute, explaining why Common Core is so bad.

The protest is tomorrow in Worcester and details are as follows:

Wednesday, March 12, 8:30 am – “Common Core Protest”. Picketing will occur at the corner of Belmont Street and Skyline Drive, (the intersection/lights near Worcester Technical High

School). Secretary of Education Arne Duncan will be visiting the school at 1 Skyline Drive. Park anywhere except “Resident Parking Only”.

Red Mass Group will be covering the protest.
