The Scott Brown of 2014 is sounding a lot like the Scott Brown of 2010.
Brown, speaking before a crowd, of over 50 times the size of his 2009 announcement, stressed that he is tired of the games Washington is playing, tired of the policies of the Obama Administration – and congressional Democrats, and tired of Obamacare destroying the health of our nation.
Brown, looking to silence critics calling him a carpetbagger, recalling summers with his grandparents in NH. What he called a small piece of stability in his chaotic upbringing. An emotional Brown said, “one influence, the main influence on my life, that made all the difference to me was the love and care I got from my grandparents.”
Building on a crescendo of ever increasing problems Brown sees with this country, he shared what his wife, Gail Brown has been telling him. Brown said, “I’ve been paying special attention to my wife of 30 years. Gail told me that if I really wanted to make a difference, number one I should stop complaining, and number two I should run for the United States Senate in New Hampshire.”
Brown continued, “I am announcing today that I am forming an exploratory committee to run for the United States Senate in New Hampshire. Starting tomorrow morning over the next several weeks, I will be travelling around the state to ask questions of people.”
The room of Republican Activists and party leaders at the Northeast Republican Leadership Conference erupted into a standing ovation.
The Scott Brown of 2010 is back, and looking to put more than the 300,000 miles on his truck than it currently has.
