Cha-Ching… Springfield Democrat Cheryl Coakley-Rivera is taking the Golden Dome Parachute™. Rivera is resigning to take an Assistant Clerk Magistrate Position. According to the Boston Herald, database of salaries, that position pays around $95,000. WWLP has the story:
Coakley-Rivera told 22News she submitted her resignation to the House Wednesday, and that her last day as a state representative will be March 28th. She’s served in the State House for 15 years.
“I’m grateful. I love my job,” Coakley-Rivera told 22News, “But I’m turning 50, and I’m wondering about what to do… I’m tired of the drive. the drive is exhausting.”
She said it was more than just the drive. She wants to continue her public service, and she said she wants to use her law degree, and she’s going back to where she started at the Hampden county Hall of Justice.”
