Founder of Frederick Douglass Republicans K Carl Smith comes to Boston

On Saturday January 25, 2014 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Reggie Lewis Center,Roxbury Community College, K Carl Smith, the Founder of the Frederick Douglas Republicans(FDRs)will be making a presentation.

The FDRs is a grassroots movement inspired to follow in the footsteps of Frederick Douglas, who although once a slave, escaped and became an abolitionist leader, great orator, writer, social reformer, and Statesman. Their mission is to educate and advocate for the following principles that make this country great.

1) Take race and propaganda off the table and create an atmosphere for real political dialogue.

2) To share the Life- Empowering Values of Frederick Douglass

3) To serve as a resource to diversify the Republican Party, returning it to true political distinction.

4) To abolish the practice of blind loyalty to ANY political party, ending voter apathy, changing the dynamic in Washington.

Frederick Douglass Republicans are not bound by race, color, creed or religion. Rather they ascribe to an all-inclusive political platform based on the four life-empowering values of Frederick Douglass. Anyone may become a Frederick Douglass Republican because it’s not about color; it’s about values.
