Scott Brown delete’s Massachusetts from his Twitter handle

The Huffington Post just noticed that former US Senator Scott Brown changed his Twitter account from @ScottBrownMA to @SenScottBrown…

Is this the surest sign yet he’s moving on up to the Granite State to take on Jean Shaheen?

  • If Scott is going to do this, he best get going soon. His experience notwithstanding, it’s not easy to unseat an incumbent sentator.

If he runs, he should talk about jobs, jobs, jobs, and Obmacare.  He was against Obamacare; Shaheen voted for it and was the 60th vote needed to pass it. He knew it would be a disaster; she told her constituents that they could keep their plans. Every single NH voter who gets one of those notices cancelling their plans should blame her, and there are a lot of them, with many more to come before the election.

It’s been a while my old fellow massholes.. Everyone C’mon up!! 2014 is going to be a very good year here in NH. Starting with giving Shea-Porter the boot again and then ending with Shaheen hopefully looking for work elsewhere. If Scott decides to Live Free or Die, I’ll be one of his soldiers for sure!! We will OWN the Mountains of NH at the very least!!!

Hope all is well with everyone here at Red Mass, and have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Former Senator Brown is looking at 2016 not 2014. (Hint: Presidential race). Brown wouldn’t survive a Republican primary in NH much less beat Jeanne Shaheen. A loss in 2014 finishes Brown on the national stage – no trips to Iowa for Scott after that.

NH has done some serious political swings in the last 3 election cycles. The Republicans have a good crop of home grown candidates challenging in the Congressional races but lack a solid Governor candidate. The battlegrounds in 2014 will be the Congressional seats and the State Senate.

Nice to see Huffpo as a source on RMG.

  • I think he’s making the move and he has a shot up there. More than half of the population in NH moved up from Massachusetts. (They say the Old Man fell off the mountain, because one too many “Massh*les” moved in.)  Brown’s mother’s family has lived in Greenland, NH for years (as in chased the Indians out).  Shaheen’s from St’ Louis MO (her husband’s family is from ….. Massachusetts).  She won her last term as governor by less 50%.  She won in 08 on Obama’s coattails.  I don’t think they’re so long up there now.

BTW, everyone I know up there thinks Shea Porter’s useless.  Her victory margin was almost exactly the total vote of the Libertarian candidate.  If they nominate a Republican who appeals to libertarians, she’s gone.
