Election Results November 5, 2013

The Union Machine has won in Boston.  Marty Walsh is the next Mayor of Boston.

Don Humason has won Agawam 61%-39% with about 5900 votes. – MassLive.com is reporting that Humason is winning by about 2-1. Holyoke has not yet reported. Rob Cunningham has reported to RMG that Humason has won BIG.

Former State Representative Rich Bastien has been elected to the Gardner School Committee, and Mayor Hawke has won re-election.

First time candidate Nate Boudreau has won in Gardner as well.

Conservative Independent Michael Gaffney has won a seat on the Worcester City Council. He is Jenn Caissie’s campaign treasurer.

Sean Powers is topping the ticket for at large Town Council in Braintree.

Paul Ferro has lost in Marlborough.  

Arthur Vigeant will remain Mayor as he was uncontested, as will Matt Elder who was also unopposed.

John Irish a Republican in Ward 5 of Marlborough has won his first election to the Ward 5 seat.

Daniel Grayton won one of three at large council spots in Methuen by 198 votes.

Dan Neffinger Neffinger lost re-election in West Springfield.

Sean Obrien came up short in Salem.

Ken Gray won in Amesbury by eight votes – Recount probable.

Suffolk Downs Casino has lost. – As has the Palmer Casino.

Kevin Jourdain has topped the ballot in Holyoke for Council, and Vacon got 62% of the vote in her ward race.

Joe Mendonca an incumbent lost on the City Council in Lowell.

Will Crocker has won on the Barnstable Council.

Charles Milhans has lost in Leominster for Council, but Dean Mazzarella.

Monica Medeiros former GOP State Committeewoman in her first At-Large bid in Melrose topped the ticket for Council.

Donna Colorio lost in Worcester for School Committee.

Larry Giunta won the Ward 5 council seat in Newburyport.

Sheila Mullins and Lyndi Lanphear lost in Newburyport.

Mayor Kennedy won re-election in Lynn.

Adam Lamontagne beat an incumbent to win a Ward Council race in Chicopee.

David D’Arcangelo won one of three at large  council seats in Malden.

Medford City Council Republicans:

Robert Penta reelected

Fred Della Russo reelected

Mark Crowley lost but finished eighth  out of 13th so positioned for 2015.

Matt St. Hilaire won in Beverly.
