From this CNBC report:
The United States is closing all of its embassies Sunday in the Middle East and parts of Asia because of a possible al-Qaeda-related threat to diplomatic posts worldwide, American officials told NBC News on Thursday.
The U.S. has been “apprised of information that out of an abundance of caution and care for our employees and others who may be visiting our installations, that indicates we should institute these precautionary steps,” said State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf.
So the state department and other various security experts get wind of a possible attack and numerous embassies are closed for the day. Yet when Ambassador Chris Stevens was actually under attack in Benghazi, after dozens of reported attempts and threats, the Obama and Clinton teams decide to ignore the 3am phone call. Why so smart now, but so stupid then? Why an abundance of caution for employees now, but not then?
Oddly, the CNBC report does include include a single reference to Benghazi or Hillary Clinton’s failed response to the attack on Amb Chris Stevens. Nor does the text of this ABC report:
Mark my words – Obama and his media minions will play this as a bold move overflowing with leadership strength and action oriented decision making – in other words the complete 180 degree opposite of the Benghazi attacks that left a dead US Ambassador and many other brave personnel that serve our country and our interests.
Particularly ironic is that since the Benghazi attacks Obama has claimed that Al Qaeda is on the run at least 32 times. And guess what terror group is behind these threats to attack our embassies? Yup, that would be Al Qaeda! I guess when Obama said Al Qaeda was on the run he meant toward our embassies with bombs strapped to their Fruit of the Looms.
