While Cairo burns, Kerry sails

Secretary of State John Kerry (D- Newport, RI) is quite a multi-tasker. While the Muslim Brotherhood government he supported fell to a military coup in Egypt on Wednesday, he took time out of his busy schedule to take a sail off the coast of Nantucket.  It seems that early denials by the State Department spokesperson were false, a shocker, I know.  The Globe has the story: http://www.boston.com/politica…

The Herald added some nice pictures of him on the water yesterday, as the new dictator took the oath of office:

Please don’t let this destroy your faith in the foreign policy of the Obama administration.

About Bravehaht

  • anything about the man, but I neither begrudge him for taking a vacation, nor care that he isn’t running off (to do what?) to Egypt.

The lie about it irks me more.

Now about the policy of supporting and arming the Brotherhood…

It is not like the coup was a sudden ‘surprise’ type of thing.  It was building for days and Kerry and Obama knew it.

I expect that when Kerry is asked why he was ‘off-duty’ during the event he will answer as Hillary Clinton would answer – ‘What difference does it make!’.

And why is it that every time I see Kerry near a boat I hear the theme song to Gilligan’s Island in my head?
