Interesting study shows less religious states give less to charity

Read a very interesting NBCNEWS.com article offering the details of the ‘Chronicle of Philanthropy’ study here:

The study shows that the less religious the state is the less it gives to charity.

The Northeast, with lower religious participation, was the least generous to charities, with the six New England states filling the last six slots among the 50 states.

It also says this:

Of the 10 least generous states, nine voted for Democrat Barack Obama for president in the last election. By contrast, of the 10 most generous states, eight voted for Republican John McCain.

So I guess when Barack Obama and Elizabeth Warren ask people to start giving their fair share – they are really talking only to their own supporters, and each other.

Now we knew most of this already having taken a quick look at Both Mitt Romney’s tax returns and Joe Biden’s tax returns.  Romney gave millions and Biden gave excuses.  We also know this by the fact that Elizabeth Warren, when given a perfectly good chance to pay income tax at a voluntary higher percentage, said ‘No Thanks!’.

It is one more perfect example of “Do as I say, not as I do”.

About Vote3rdpartynow

  • that REAL charity comes from the government taking from the productive to give to the unproductive.

  • Let me see a list of those charities.  I’d much rather give a dollar to a homeless guy than a dollar to any charity (that takes their cut).
