Hudak’s campaign for Congress in 2010 is proving to be personally costly. The Boston Business Journal is reporting:
Former Republican Congressional candidate William J. Hudak Jr. – a fiscal conservative whose campaign website includes a national debt ticker – filed Thursday under Chapter 7 of the federal bankruptcy code.
The Boxford, Mass., resident unsuccessfully challenged incumbent Democrat John Tierney for the state’s 6th Congressional District, which encompasses the North Shore and some towns along Route 128 stretching west, in the 2010 election. Hudak had said he would run again in 2012 but then withdrew as state Sen. Richard Tisei, a Republican from Wakefield, Mass., emerged as a strong contender for the nomination in a primary.
Hudak deserves a lot of credit for stepping up to take on Tierney in 2010. He may have not been the strongest candidate but he was a sincere one.
