Greg Howes: “Fargo departure still does not change the systemic problems on Beacon Hill.”

(Concord, MA)  Monday, February 13th — Greg Howes, Concord Selectman and Republican candidate for the State Senate in the 3rd Middlesex district, wished Senator Fargo well in her retirement but stressed her departure from the legislature does not change the systemic problems on Beacon Hill and the lack of balanced, pragmatic representation for the district.

“The other candidates in the race reflect the same tired politics we have experienced for the past 16 years,” says Howes.  “My campaign is an indictment of an antiquated political system that has failed to embrace our collective, shared values and make them relevant today. Beacon Hill has become corrupt, collusive and condescending to the voters of Massachusetts. It’s time to bring balanced, practical leadership to the State House.”

Howes, a small business owner, is running for Senate to be check on political power, drive more decisions to the local level and demand meaningful limits on government spending. “We can’t be all things to everyone without establishing priorities and a sound, fiscal plan or government will continue to fail us,” says Howes.  “It’s time to balance Beacon Hill.”
