WORCESTER – The Massachusetts’ affiliate of the National Federation of Republican Assemblies will host a debate between declared candidates, vying to become the next Chairman of the Mass GOP.
The top state Republican Committee position was vacated by Jennifer Nassour, who held the position for more than 2-1/2 years.
According to the event organizer, Steven Aylward, who is also the Vice President for the Massachusetts Republican Assembly, the debate is scheduled to take place–
Sunday, Nov. 13, 2:00 p.m.
at the Knights of Columbus
Alhambra 88 Council
44 Circuit Avenue in Worcester.
Three of the four current candidates have committed to participate in the high-level partisan contest.
“This election cycle is much different,” Aylward said. “There is a remarkable increase in grassroots activity, and nearly 45 district seats are being challenged concurrently across the state.”
David Kopacz, President of the state Assembly, said the group is “dedicated to restoring integrity in government and the election process.”
“We look forward to electing our next Republican Chairman who will be charged with uniting all freedom-loving Republicans,” Kopacz said.
