It is now documented that an unpopular voice – not one who hurls obscenities like it’s saying hello, not one who engages in violent, threatening rhetoric like some on here – but simply an unpopular voice has been put up for censorship on RMG by Rob “EaBo Clipper” Eno.
Rob “EaBo Clipper” Eno, though he claims he voted against banning me, was perfectly happy holding a vote as to whether to ban someone for simply having an unpopular opinion. (Or was it that I posted too often? Rob “EaBo Clipper” Eno asserted that it was twice a day every day, though that was demonstrated in the comments to be a lie.)
The final vote, at the moment Rob “EaBo Clipper” Eno posted that voting was closed, was 28 against censorship, 26 for censorship, a very narrow margin. It’s even narrower when you take out my vote for me to stay, so it’s really 27-26. When you take out the other “more left-wing” voices on here, it’s closer to 26 FOR censorship, 20 or so against censorship.
The bulk of the so-called conservatives on here support censorship – that is RMG’s new mantra, it seems.
Particularly insulting to people’s intelligence was Rob “EaBo Clipper” Eno’s summation on the matter:
I will have a follow up post regarding this, but let’s say I think the point I was trying to make with this exercise has been proven. Especially when someone who is the leading proponent of banning people from a free and open exchange of ideas calls it censorship when s/he is threatened with the ban. I also knew that RMG would vote to keep an open dialog.
Two points on this foolishness:
1) He likens my call to ban a user for using intentionally violent and threatening language toward another user as on par with a user simply posting an unpopular opinion. That’s utter foolishness. They’re not at all the same, and his point is truly made in conflating the two.
2) RMG’s conservatives, as demonstrated above, did not vote to keep an open dialogue. Only with the “lefties” on here with 20 or so other users did free speech beat the censoring mob of RMG conservatives. So don’t hurt your arm patting yourself on the back.
RMG is very comfortable with censorship simply to suppress unpopular opinions. Violent, threatening language is OK; obscenity-laden tirades hurled at users are fine; but an unpopular opinion is up for censorship. Food for thought.
UPDATE: JohnT001 offers this testament to Rob “EaBo Clipper” Eno’s hypocrisy:
Yes his ideas are warped. But do you want to ban him because you don’t agree with him? That’s odd.

Whether you don’t agree with him in one post or you don’t agree with him in a mythical/dishonest “two posts a day every day,” the point is the same and the hypocrisy is clear.
