Will RMG Speak Out Against Rick Perry’s DREAM ACT

Rick Perry is the new shiny object catching the attention of the GOPers in the United States.

But Rick may have a problem, he signed and passed with a massive Republican majority in the Statehouse of Texas, a DREAM ACT.

He said,

As a compassionate state, we know that for our children to succeed, they must not only be healthy, but educated.

The future leaders of our two nations are learning their fractions and their ABC’s in classrooms all along this border. Immigrants from around the world are being taught in Texas classrooms, and our history is rich with examples of new citizens who have made great contributions. We must say to every Texas child learning in a Texas classroom,

“we don’t care where you come from, but where you are going, and we are going to do everything we can to help you get there.” And that vision must include the children of undocumented workers.

That’s why Texas took the national lead in allowing such deserving young minds to attend a Texas college at a resident rate. Those young minds are a part of a new generation of leaders, the doors of higher education must be open to them.

The message is simple: educacion es el futuro, y si se puede.

Sounds like he beat Deval Patrick to the punch.  All this undocumented Democrat B.S has got to stop, because the GOPers have been the real coddlers of the undocumented people. Deval just followed suit.

  • Perry will have this problem with a lot of people.

Many people have problems with Romney.

    Bachmann has her detractors.

    What’s the point?

This is like saying that ‘Romneycare = Obamacare’.  It is ignorance pure and simple….

Gov Rick Perry never said illegal immigrants should get tuition assistance.  What he said was the ‘children’ of illegal immigrants.  The children of illegal immigrants are quite often legal immigrants.

This is a liberal attempt to get the GOP to dislike Rick Perry, because Rick Perry is the guy that can beat Barack Obama like a rented mule in the general election.

  • ’nuff said.  All illegals found should be immediately deported.

Turning over an old leaf…( I will not feed dipshit trolls… I will not feed dipshit trolls… I will not feed dipshit trolls)

  • …the latest troll target may get some attention from the likes of you, but I neither support the inevitable loser, nor do I support your inane automatic  attack on the man.

I would like to see us go much further than what Governor Perry has proposed. Yes, there are many nativist cavemen on this site who would love to see a Trail-of-Tears style expulsion of 12 million illegals, but that will not happen.

What will happen is that the 1/4 of all current children in America who are Hispanic (true statistic) are going to become adults. They will be a very powerful voting bloc that will remove all of the anti-Hispanic Republicans nationwide, who will, on the way out, scream that they were not anti-Hispanic (ignore all that English-only/Mexican invasion rhetoric!!!) they were just defending citizenship from those who came here to steal our least-desirable jobs.

Yes, I am a staunch Republican who refuses to join the GOP’s national anti-Hispanic electoral suicide pact. It’s time for reasonable measures to address the immigration problem. For those of you who scream AMNESTY! at absolutely everything – enjoy your time of political dominance. But next time you see a Hispanic kid on the street, know this: she is going to recognize you for the nativist jerk you are and her America will reject your politics entirely.

  • I recommend Peyton Wolcott.
