MEC fraud now up to $30 million

Bump found that collaborative officials had racked up $4.3 million in credit card charges for alcohol – which Bump said is prohibited by state law – as well as country club outings, golf fees, entertainment, and personal transportation through the use of 17 credit cards

Before any ever mentions raising my taxes again every one of these recipients of state funds should have an audit.

The lack of financial controls at all these organizations (there are several other stories out there) is appalling. Maybe our legislators should consider laws governing how the money is spent, rather than just looking to spend more.
