WESTERN MASS REPUBLICANS TO HONOR RETIRED HOLYOKE POLICE CHIEF SCOTT, JEN CAISSIE AND STATE REP PET

West Springfield, MA – The Western Mass Republicans will honor retired Holyoke Police Chief Anthony Scott at the 20th Annual Summer Picnic on Friday, July 15 from 5 to 8 pm at the Elks Pavilion on 429 Morgan Road in West Springfield.

The group will welcome Jen Caissie. Caisse was Chairwoman of the select board of Oxford, MA before being elected to the Governor’s Council in November.

The group will also welcome newly elected State Representative Peter Durant. On May 10, Durant, a selectman from Spencer, won a special election for state representative by 56 votes. Durant had won election last November by 4 votes only to have a judge declare the election a tie after the two recounts that followed. The state legislature then called for a special election rather than a run off election.

The Western Mass Republicans is a political action committee formed in 1990 to assist and coordinate Republican activities in the Pioneer Valley. The group recruits and supports candidates for town, city and state public office.

Tickets are $20 for adults, $35 for couples, $7 for children under 12 and free under age 5.

TICKETS can be reserved before July 11 online www.westernmassrepublicans.com/Events.html
