Post-Polito Campaign, I find myself back in Woburn in a new role as marketing & development director for both the Coalition for Marriage & Catholic Citizenship. On the heels of an amazing year for both groups, 2011 looks even better as Catholic Citizenship lands former U.S. Senator Rick Santorum (R-Pennsylvania) as a headliner for its February event.
The event takes place at the Hotel Indigo in Newton on Tuesday February 1st at 5:30 PM.
Former 4-term Medford City Councillor Tricia Doherty, who took over for me as ED, is thrilled to have Rick Santorum who boasts impressive conservative credentials on fiscal and social issues and quickly became a target of the left during his tenure on Capitol Hill.
“We’re thrilled that such a well-known figure in American politics is taking time out of his exploratory bid for the presidency to encourage our activists and educate the faithful about civic participation in the 21st Century,” said Patricia Doherty, Catholic Citizenship’s executive director. “Senator Santorum is a dynamic, inspirational speaker and there’s a tremendous buzz around him since he announced his decision to hire staff in New Hampshire.”
Santorum authored the legislation that outlawed the heinous procedure known as “partial birth abortion” and is now a senior fellow at The Ethics and Public Policy Center, frequent contributor on Fox News Channel and columnist with The Philadelphia Enquirer.
Faithful RMGers can enjoy a 2-1 discount off the $100 ticket price (which includes a complimentary beverage and free valet parking for the event) on 2 conditions:
