Shauna O'Connell survives recount bid over feckless Fagan. Great job!

TAUNTON — Republican Shaunna O'Connell survived a districtwide recount in the Third Bristol House District race on Saturday, hanging on to a narrow victory over Democratic incumbent James Fagan. “I’m glad it’s over and that it’s the result we expected,” O’Connell said. Fagan requested the recount after losing by 44 votes on Election Day. Saturday's tally shaved 13 votes off the margin, but O'Connell still prevailed with 5,725 votes to 5,694 for Fagan… The recount was the final chapter in a long, sometimes heated campaign. O’Connell and Fagan clashed often in debates and on the campaign trail. O’Connell labeled Fagan as a corrupt insider, while Fagan openly questioned the his opponent's competence. “I refused to be negative,” Fagan said of the campaign. “I’m somewhat disappointed that someone who ran a negative campaign without any ideas could have any traction with voters.”

Hey Fagan this is Massachusetts where the majority of voters pull the lever for Democrats who run negative campaigns against novices without any ideas. Take a look at the statewide ballot. Sorry you slipped through the cracks of a Democratic tide. Next time don't insult the voters. Congrats to Shauna; she worked hard from day one and took apart the vile remarks Fagan unleashed on the House floor. No more hack holidays for you Fagan!
