About David Whelan

  • this is good news.wish the unemployment rate went to an even 9%,maybe the commonwealth would qualify for special enterprise zones!this would be the first state in the country that would be declared as such.

  • lose their benefits and stop looking.

I am blaming the Democrats for everything going forward because they said if they got elected everything was going to be fine.

Who knows what goes on in the stat models and accumulation of the employment figures, but the income tax shows a story different from the “mass leads the nation” rhetoric:

August collections in personal tax:  $804M

    November Collections of same: $784M

August personal tax withheld from pay: $780M

    November withholding of same:  $797M

Objectively, that’s a flat to declining employment base since August, and the post election labor stats are only now beginning to reflect reality.

Makes you wonder if post-election stats are more accurate than pre-election stats for some reason.
