  • I think Kamal would be a great choice.  He ran a great campaign, he is a well spoken, he is personable and can connect with anyone on any level.  He is a fixer who knows more about our state’s finances than anyone I know.  I think his knowledge of running a campaign or two would be a great resource to our party and he would be able to help the new comers to the political arena.

I also have seen him on the campaign trail running his own campaign and supporting others.  He would be a great leader and he is a wonderful man!

  •    The man was all over the state campaigning. AFTER he lost in the state primary to Mary Conaughton. Kamal campaigned FOR and WITH just about every Republican candidate in the Commonwealth. Isn’t that what we want in our party chair?

  •    Has repeatedly stated he doesn’t want the position.

  • Sent out an email blasting the party, republicans, etc a few days before his primary talking about how awful we all were for not supporting him in his primary.

  • I personally like Kamal.  I think he did a heck of a job campaigning for GOP candidates after losing his primary which speaks volumes about the man’s drive and determination.

That said, I do have a couple of concerns about him as a potential Chairman:

    1) Has been a Republican for just about one year.  I believe that he was a libertarian prior to becoming a Republican.  Now that does not bother me, but would that cause issues with others within the party, I am not sure.

    2) I am not sure that he has demonstrated an ability to raise funds to help other candidates get elected, etc.

Finally, does he really want the job which comes with no pay and one heck of a set of headaches?

I would have to get rid of the moniker “Vote3rdpartynow’.  And that ain’t happening…..

  • rrelevant vote goes for “other”….with Clifford Blake II as my write in.

Who else can root out all the RINOs??

  • Folks:

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

2010 was a great year.  I very much enjoyed running for office and getting to meet a lot of great people all over the state.

Best wishes, and may our paths cross in the not-too-distant future.

    Kamal Jain

  • The Republicans are like the hatfields and mccoys in my town…  But everyone was in agreement when it came to their enthusiasm for Kamal Jain.

Anyway, I just hope he stays involved.  We need more Kamal Jains in this party.

  • He supported many winning candidates this cycle.

He was a supported of his own failed election for selectman.

He supported a failed Governor’s candidate that didn’t make the ballot.

He supported an independant candidate for Worcester County Sheriff who lost against one of the most conservative members of the House.

He supported his losing Rep candidate, who lost awfully in a pretty good district.

Basically, if you were associated with Cliff Blake, you lost. But hey, he knows a lot about winning races!

Following political advice from Cliff Blake is like asking the KC Royals how to build a winning baseball franchise…
