Why are most of the Dems listed FIRST on the ballot???

I’m looking at an absentee ballot, and for all the major races– Governor, Atty Gen., Sec’y of State, Treasurer, Auditor, and Congress (in the tenth, anyway), the DEM is listed first. What’s up with that??? I don’t know how much it will matter, but it feels dirty.

Also, we should all be vigilant on election day – keep an eye out for people trying to steal this election by voting multiple times, etc. These races are so close that we’re likely to see tricksters.

  • Incumbents are listed first on the ballot, and since most incumbents in this state are Democrats, most get listed first.  After incumbents, it is just alphabetical order by last name for Republicans and Democrats, then alphabetical by last name for third party and independent.
