Jones Commends Perry on Voting Record
Has 99% voting record over the eight years in House of Representatives

BOSTON-House Minority Leader Bradley H. Jones, Jr. today offered praise to Representative Jeffrey D. Perry (R-Sandwich) for finishing off the 2009-2010 legislative session with an impressive voting record.

The Sandwich Republican participated in nearly every roll call vote taken this session, casting his vote in 506 of the 513 roll call votes held this year.   Below is a summary of Perry’s voting record over the 4 terms he has served:

          2009-2010    98.64%    506 of 513

          2007-2008    97.53%    592 of 607

          2005-2206    99.45%    910 of 915

          2003-2004    100.00%   890 of 890

“Jeff is and always has been a very committed legislator,” said Representative Jones.  “He’s always actively engaged in the debate, asking thoughtful questions and making persuasive arguments.  The people of the 5th Barnstable District should take great pride in the fact that their legislator is constantly fighting on Beacon Hill for their best interest.”

Though full formal sessions for the 2009-2010 legislative session have concluded, Representative Perry continues to work diligently on behalf of the people in the 5th Barnstable District at the State House and closer to home in his district office.

“Representing the 5th Barnstable District has been a privilege and an honor,” said Representative Perry.  “My time in the great General Court is coming to an end, and I am proud to have fought for lower taxes, a more efficient state government and reduced spending.”

Representative Perry is the Ranking Republican on the Committees on Education and Public Safety & Homeland Security.  He also serves as a member on the House Ways and Means Committee and the Committee on State Administration.
