Kasperowicz Responds To Perry Word Games Regarding Support of Military

Ray Kasperowicz, the only veteran in the 10th Congressional District race, would not support Mrs. Kagan for the Supreme Court due to her decisions and policy towards military recruiting at college campuses.

Nevertheless, Mr. Perry decided to take “distinguished” credit for his views on Elena Kagan, contender for the Supreme Court during Monday night’s debate in Plymouth.

“Perry distinguished himself on the issue of the Supreme Court nomination of Elena Kagan. Perry was the only candidate to affirmatively say he would not support Kagan for her decisions and policy regarding military recruiters on college campuses.”

Perry “Scoring Points” Press Release of July 26, 2010

“I was never asked the question.  I would think that Mr. Perry would extend me the benefit of actually being asked the question during the debate Monday before insinuating to the public that I do not support the military.  I will not allow any candidate to misrepresent me by using cheap law school tricks and word play to distort my positions.”
