I love Rep Steve King a little more every day.
This week, Rep Steve King (R-Iowa) asked that Auntie Zeituni testify before a House Subcommittee on Immigration, Citizenship, Refugees, Border Security and International Law in order to answer questions of how she was granted asylum even though she was turned down before. King wants to know if favoritism was played as in 2004 she was turned down for asylum and ordered deported – then after her precious little nephew was elected President things turned around 180 degrees for her.
In a letter to the chair of the subcommittee, Rep. Zoe Lofgren, King writes that “[i]n order to better determine whether favoritism played a role – especially because Ms. Onyango had been earlier turned down for asylum and ordered deported in 2004 before her nephew became president – the Subcommittee needs to hear from Ms. Onyango herself.”
I wonder if she will be grilled during the questioning the same way that most others are grilled when they sit before our distinguished House of representatives.

*** Editor’s Note ***
Zeituni Onyango is President Obama’s paternal aunt. During the 2008 Presidential election she was caught illegally living in the United States after being ordered by a judge to leave the country. It has been reported that she has also illegally obtained a Social Security number and made a political contribution to Obama’s campaign. In 2010, she was granted a “waiver of deportation.” – Mike “DD4RP” Rossettie.
