In less than one month the final round of signature gathering for ballot questions will begin. On May 5th, ballot question committees can file with the state to obtain the required petitions for the final round of signature gathering. The final hurdle of 11,099 signatures in seven weeks is much lower than the 66,593 in eleven weeks of the first round. Obviously, petitioners have to gather several more than the required number to prevent challengers and provide insurance for possible errors.
