Mihos says Manzoli never campaign manager in affidavit

A hearing was held today in the case of Manzoli v. Mihos in Worcester Superior Court.  The purpose of the hearing was to determine whether or not an attachment could be placed on the checking account of the Christy Mihos 2010 Committee.  As part of the hearing Christy Mihos in a sworn affidavit of deposition stated that “The Plaintiff was not my campaign manager.”  A copy of the affidavit was obtained by Red Mass Group.

I, Christy P. Mihos, on oath, depose and state as follows:

1.  I never entered into a written contract with the Plaintiff on behalf of myself or on behalf of my campaign committee.

2.  By oral agreement, my committee was to pay the Plaintiff $12,000.00 per month.  The Plaintiff was not my campaign manager. Mr. Richard Morris was campaign manager and received a substantially higher monthly salary.

3.  On or about December 1, 2009, the Plaintiff and I had an oral discussion and we both agreed that his monthly compensation would be lowered to $5,000.00 per month.

4.  The Plaintiff has been paid significant sums of money for his services and I have no knowledge as to how he arrived at the amount he claims he is owed as set forth in his complaint.

Signed under the pains and penalties perjury this 25th day of March, 2010.
