This is from the AP but surprisingly enough it ran in my local daily, the Standard-Times.
BOSTON – Scott Brown’s surprise Senate win last month gave Massachusetts Republicans a shot of political adrenalin, and party leaders are scrambling to prove the victory was no fluke.
One of their biggest hurdles is the recruitment of a farm team of GOP candidates ready to run against Democrats in the fall.
State Republican Party Chairman Jennifer Nassour said finding candidates won’t be a problem, particularly after Brown’s success.
This year is different, according to Nassour, who predicted Republicans could capture from 10 to 50 seats in the Legislature.
