There is the story being told by Niki and Deval and then there is the truth.
Here is the story from the politicos: http://www.wickedlocal.com/che…
On Monday, Dec. 14 at 10 a.m., Congresswoman Niki Tsongas will join with Gov. Deval Patrick and state Sen. Steve Panagiotakos at the Career Center of Lowell – 107 Merrimack St. , 3rd Floor to provide an overview of how the American Recovery and Reinvestment Package is benefiting the Merrimack Valley and the 5th Congressional District. Also participating in the overview will be local 5th District residents, such as firefighters, teachers, construction workers, and others who have seen their jobs saved or created by the recovery package.

“It has been a disappointment,” said Michael Gagliardi, business manager for Local 175 Laborer’s Union, which represents area construction workers. “Certainly, we had higher hopes that (new jobs) would come quicker. … It’s been extraordinarily slow coming.”
