RMG 2009 Year in Review – January

Today begins our look back at 2009 from a Red Mass Group perspective.  2009 has been Red Mass Group’s breakout year. We are up well over 100% in visitors and traffic from 2008 and continue to grow every month.  The look back at 2009 begins with January.

According to Google Analytics, in January of 2009 we had 16,016 visits vs. 8,472 in January of 2008. We had 74,880 pageviews vs 37,774 pageviews in January of 2008.  The January numbers were really reflective of the GOP Chair race and the fight for House Leadership.

The top five referring sites to Red Mass Group in order from first to fifth during January of 2009 were: BlueMassGroup.com, PolitickerMA.com, Scaling the Hill, Universal Hub, and Boston.com.

The top five stories by page view in order from first to fifth during January of 2009 were:   Poll and Open Thread, Mass GOP Chair; Bob “The Dandelion” Magovern; Letter from Jennifer Nassour; Evangelidis and Colleagues Announce a New Web Site; and finally Breaking News: Patrick Resigns.

This was also the month that Red Mass Group changed hands from it’s founder Patrick to Robert Eno.
