Sarah Palin called on President Obama to boycott the Copenhagen climate change meeting in light of the email scandal that has rocked the global warming community. She states this on her Facebook page:
The president’s decision to attend the international climate conference in Copenhagen needs to be reconsidered in light of the unfolding Climategate scandal. The leaked e-mails involved in Climategate expose the unscientific behavior of leading climate scientists who deliberately destroyed records to block information requests, manipulated data to “hide the decline” in global temperatures, and conspired to silence the critics of man-made global warming. I support Senator James Inhofe’s call for a full investigation into this scandal. Because it involves many of the same personalities and entities behind the Copenhagen conference, Climategate calls into question many of the proposals being pushed there, including anything that would lead to a cap and tax plan.
I think Sarah Palin has a perfectly legitimate point that given the sudden rush of evidence tainting the data that supports the climate change science it would be wise to hold off on the meeting until some level of explanation has been offered. Sadly, there has been no comment from the global warming alarmist community other than “nothing to see here!”
But Obama has decided to stay the course and he will attend the meeting that starts soon. Though it has been understood that no new agreements will come from the meeting some want to attend anyway.
It has been accepted for months now that Copenhagen would fail. World leaders at the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Singapore last month even publicly announced that there wouldn’t be a new international protocol signed during the highly-anticipated United Nations conference on climate change in the Danish capital, which begins on Monday
But now we find out why Obama is so desperate to attend the meeting. Things will get done, and Obama has his business to take care of! It appears that Obama is going to support worker’s rights. He will be offering support to the many workers that claim they are being wrongly denied their right to work. Members of the SIU claim they are being discriminated against and Obama is always willing to stand up for those kinds of people.
“This is sheer discrimination. Ritt Bjerregaard is abusing her position as Lord Mayor in using her power to prevent us carrying out our perfectly legal job. I don’t understand how she can be allowed to contact people in this way,” SIO Spokeswoman Susanne Møller tells avisen.dk.
