Donations: The Great Urgency of NOW!

In the Commonwealth of Massachusetts the government sets fundraising limits to a maximum of $500 per person ($1,000 per couple) to candidate committees per calendar year.  Once January 1st hits, donation opportunities for 2009 end forever and everything goes back to zero.  Candidates will also be required to file their year end reports with the Office of Campaign and Political Finance.  The better numbers that candidates show, the more viable they will appear to other donors, the media, and support organizations including the Massachusetts Republican Party.  It is important to donate to the candidates you support NOW!

Ryan Fattman, candidate for State Representative in the 18th Worcester district, is just one Republican candidate counting on our support before the New Year.  He has scheduled his big year end fundraiser on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Tatnuck Country Club, 1222 Pleasant Street, Worcester, MA.  I profiled this Sutton Selectman in an earlier post.  More information about this event is available on his facebook page or you can donate directly on his website.

MORE BELOW THE FOLD….

I have recently started profiling some Republican candidates running for State Representative and State Senate here in Massachusetts.

Geoff Diehl State Representative, 7th Plymouth.

Patrick Foran State Representative, 1st Barnstable

Ryan Fattman State Representative, 18th Worcester

Brett Schetzsle State Representative, 6th Essex

David Pottier State Senate, 1st Plymouth and Bristol

There are also many other good candidates running that deserve our support.  I hope to profile more of them in the future.
