Being a Democrat Means Never Having to Say I’m Sorry

Given the treatment of South Carolina Joe Wilson for uttering “you lie” during Mr. Obama’s address, you would think that the Democrats would watch their language.

Two words: dream on!

Joe Wilson issued an apology for his remark soon afterwards.

Now, the GOP is seeking an apology from Representative Alan Grayson of Florida for his comment that Republicans want Americans to die quickly.

Grayson’s response: up yours!

Here is the report from the Globe:…

WASHINGTON – Seeking payback for a reprimand of one of their own for shouting “You lie!” at President Obama, House Republicans want a Democratic lawmaker to apologize or face a reprimand for saying the GOP wants Americans to “die quickly” if they get sick.

But Representative Alan Grayson of Florida stood firmly behind his comments and returned to the House floor yesterday afternoon to mock Republicans’ call for an apology.

“I would like to apologize . . . I apologize to the dead and their families that we haven’t voted sooner to end this Holocaust in America,” he said, citing a study being published in the American Journal of Public Health that found nearly 45,000 people die each year for lack of health insurance.

On the House floor Tuesday night, Grayson said: “If you get sick, America, the Republican health care plan is this: Die quickly. That’s right. The Republicans want you to die quickly if you get sick.”

His remarks weren’t spontaneous. Grayson, a first-term Democrat known for being provocative, reinforced his point with signs saying the same thing.

And Pelosi’s response:  http://www.realclearpolitics.c…  Apologize?  What Grayson apologize?

And here is a particularly hate filled rant from the Ed show on MSNBC.  In particular, Mr. Ed defends Grayson’s Holocaust statement and then attacks the GOP for character assassination.  That’s about par for the course for MSNBC.  http://www.realclearpolitics.c…

When contacted about about a boycott of MSNBC sponsors and Grayson donors because of their hate filled speech and broadcasting, Ernie Boch III had no comment.

(I’m kidding about the last part)
