This story from the ABC news desk in Denver:
Denver saw its first flakes in places Monday morning, well ahead of 2008’s November 13 first snow. In fact, those flakes fell on the last full day of summer one day after the same areas enjoyed summer-like highs in the mid 80s.
The strong cold front brought an abrupt end to the lovely summer weather over the weekend. Temperatures took a dive from the 80s to the upper 30s over the metro area and rain was mixed with snow. In the mountains and foothills, wet snow fell for most of the day, bringing over 10 inches of snow to some mountain locations just west of Denver.
Just in case you didn’t catch some of the facts – THE SNOW FELL ON THE LAST DAY OF SUMMER AND SOME AREAS GOT 10 INCHES OF SNOW!!!
