I am NOT a fan of shouting.  I wish people would find a way to tell congress why they object to the health care plan in a rational, polite way.  But the next time you feel that protesters are getting too boorish, consider this:

Having just watched the yahoos at Senator Arlen Spector’s Town Meeting Lebanon, PA. you have to be reminded of that acerbic statement of HL Menchen to paraphrase said, ‘you’ll never go broke underestimating the intelligence of the average American…’

There was this reoccurring phrase uttered by these yahoos that I have heard over and over again in various states across the country that the health care reform “will turn us into Russia.” Same words every time. Who is behind this a syndicated idiot and former disc jockey like Glenn Beck [a Mormon who wears “secret underwear”] or Rush ” I haven’t seen an Oxycontin I haven’t taken” drug addict – Limbaugh ?

As to the Lebanon PA Meeting. Note: all the particpants are white and look like they were dressed in Walmart’s finest. Well, I hope they get out of there in time to go to Denny’s for their ‘Step and Fetch It’/Black Sambo’ lunch special.

I have misunderstimated the reoccuring use of vile hate speech at Blue Mass Group.

And while the man was a mensch, the name is spelled Mencken.  It would appear that Atticus is ‘average’ indeed…
