A bostonherald.com update on the state payroll shows the number of employees working on the taxpayers’ dime has jumped by about 2,000 in the past year, according to the latest figures.
“The governor has been on a hiring spree since the day he took office. He’s hired friends, neighbors, hundreds of democratic political operatives, and those are just the people we know about,” said Senate Minority Leader Richard Tisei (R-Wakefield).
Tisei said adding on “upper management” is not helping the bottom line.
