With a string of Democratic lawmakers being wracked by scandal in recent months, Republicans are gearing up to seize the moment.

State GOP executive director Nick Connors said the party has seen a flurry of activity in recent days and is preparing for a busy election cycle.
“We’ve definitely seen a lot of energy related to (the scandals) and we anticipate being able to capitalize on it,” Connors said.
