UMass Stem Cell Bank

When the University of Massachusetts built its stem cell bank in Shrewsbury last year, it scrupulously set up everything so that one set of equipment and labs could handle embryonic stem cells approved for government-funded research and another set could handle all other cell lines.

Yesterday, that line down the middle of the stem cell bank became obsolete.

You are all probably well familiar with this issue by now.  I’m going to keep the commentary short here and just say I remember another $1,000,000,000.00 in spending I would have saved the Commonwealth
