He should have run in 2008

I am a firm believer that had Newt Gingrich run for President in 2008, we would not be living through the dawn of socialism in America.  Newt Gingrich is our greatest thinker in the conservative movement.  He is quickly able to see trends, and offer real meaningful solutions.   As much as Bill Clinton gets the credit, it was Newt who was the principle driver of good government in the 1990s.  Bill Clinton co-opted his policies and made them his own.

This morning while looking at news, I came across this tidbit on FoxNews.com about Newt Gingrich considering a run for President in 2012.

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said Thursday he’d seriously consider running for president in 2012.

With the mantle of the Republican Party still unclaimed, Gingrich told reporters in Ashland, Va., before a speech to Randolph-Macon College that he and his family would examine the political environment in early 2011, and “look seriously at whether or not we think it’s necessary to do it.”

“And if we think it’s necessary we’ll probably do it. And if it isn’t necessary we probably won’t do it,” he said, according to the Richmond Times-Dispatch.

I have three words for you Mr. Speaker: RUN NEWT RUN!
