The Malden Observer is taking notice of David D'Arcangelo's candidacy for at-large city council.
Malden – David D’Arcangelo has announced that he is running for the open at-large seat on the Malden City Council.
“We love Malden; it is our home. The city has many wonderful qualities and also some challenges and during these times of uncertainty we must keep our community vibrant by embracing the new opportunities that confront us. So, I am running for City Council to ensure that our community remains one of the best places to live, work and raise a family. My campaign is based upon putting people first and having a city council that works for their interests,” said D’Arcangelo.
Many recognize D’Arcangelo as being one of the most active and dynamic members of the Malden community. Indeed, his extensive record of public service includes six years on the Planning Board and four years as an aide for Malden’s state Sen. Richard Tisei.
D’Arcangelo now plans to utilize his public service expertise to help the city navigate the rough fiscal waters that have come as a result of the stormy economy. “Obviously we have all heard the reports of budget cuts, layoffs and a general feeling of uneasiness about our fiscal situation. However, all is not lost, we have options and the prospect of a better Malden can be fulfilled. Without question serious issues will need to be addressed and I have plans to realize savings without disrupting core City services,” he said.
