Please Vote YES for the Dogs on Question 3

On Tuesday, Massachusetts voters will decide the fate of Question 3, the Greyhound Protection Act. This humane proposal will phase out greyhound racing by 2010.

At local racetracks, thousands of dogs endure lives of terrible confinement and many suffer serious injuries. Dogs play an important role in our lives, and we believe that they deserve to be protected from individuals and industries that would do them harm.

That is why I am asking you today to vote YES for the dogs on Question 3.

More than any other ballot question, the Greyhound Protection Act is supported by a broad coalition of citizens and community leaders from every walk of life and ideology.

Our endorsers illustrate this diversity. Question 3 is supported by Senator Bob Hedlund and Senator Pat Jehlen, Representative Todd Smola and Representative Carl Sciortino. Other endorsers include every major animal shelter in the state, the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, the Massachusetts Council of Churches, nearly 70 local veterinarians and 14 newspapers.

You don’t have to be a liberal or a conservative to support the Greyhound Protection Act. You simply have to be a dog lover.
