Portia de Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres tied the knot in a small home ceremony Saturday.
The ceremony was attended by 19 guests, including DeGeneres’ mom, Betty, and de Rossi’s mother, Margaret Rogers, who had flown in from Australia, People.com reported Saturday night.
The couple have been together 4 years – about time they got hitched! 😀
Meanwhile, those who can’t stand the sight of happily married couples are busy trying to strip people like Portia & Ellen from the right to marry. Now that I’ve been assured that RMG & republicans in general are all about everyone being treated equally, I feel welcome in inviting you all to send the newlyweds a gift by helping to keep marriage legal in California: Support the No on Prop 8 campaign. And while you’re at it, don’t forget that Florida and Arizona also have anti-equality constitutional amendments on the ballot this November. Give generously and frequently. Or better yet, get your old auntie in Miami or gramps in Phoenix on the phone and have “the conversation”.
Note: a version of this was cross-posed at BMG.
